Porto Platanias Beach Resort & Spa, Platanias (Crete)

Our stay at Porto Platanias was overall a lovely experience, highlighted by the wonderful pools and great entertainment for kids. The food offered was good, particularly the local desserts, but some dining aspects could use improvement. The noise from the street at night was disruptive, particularly from early morning garbage collection, which detracted from the comfort of our sleep. Despite these issues, the amenities, including the massage services, were a nice touch and added to our enjoyment.

Our stay at the hotel had some highs and lows. The service was exceptional with very attentive staff, and the multiple pool areas were a highlight for us. However, we had concerns about the COVID precautions not being properly enforced which made us uncomfortable. The overall dining options could use some improvement as well, with certain restaurants requiring an extra charge that we didn't anticipate.

I had high hopes for this hotel but unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. While the room was clean and functional, the dining experience fell short, feeling more like a chaotic cafeteria than a pleasant dining option. The service lacked consistency, and I struggled with the all-inclusive offerings which didn't include access to some of the advertised amenities. On the plus side, I did find the spa services enjoyable and the staff at the spa to be attentive. Overall, it felt overpriced for what was offered, particularly regarding the food quality.

My experience at the hotel was quite mixed. While I appreciated the friendly check-in process and was thrilled to be upgraded to a junior suite with a private pool, I found the room itself to be somewhat basic and in need of additional storage space. The food was generally good, but I found it a bit pricey at times. Unfortunately, the noise from the nearby street was quite disruptive, especially in the early morning.

We had an amazing stay at the hotel, enjoying the spacious and clean room with a lovely view. The number of pools offered plenty of options for relaxation, and the beach was just a stone's throw away, making it very convenient. However, the dining experience was slightly below expectations, particularly with the layout of the breakfast area which felt crowded at times. Overall, the value for money was decent, but it would have been nice if the activities were more engaging.
